My mom is age 64 diabetic patient .last 10 days back her thigh got burnt by steam of boiling water ,she got big balloon shaped boils with water inside it. We applied silver nitrate cream followed by cefadroxil tablets ,vitamin c tablet. After 4 days it has been observed boils are broken .bt now after 10 days one big part is releasing transparent sticky fluid .wound is completely wet .swelling is observed after 8 days .how to cure and heal that wet portion faster and what medication is need to take .pls suggest.

As a senior plastic surgeon, I would suggest close dressing. The burn is second degree, we should not make it third degree by careless management. Local and systemic antibiotics may be advised by the treating doctor. It may take few more days or 1-2 weeks to get healed. Go to the nearest plastic surgeon.

Pallavi This is my advice pls go for proper dressing atleast 10 days with antibiotics Use muprocin ointment to cover . Pls do everything under medical guidance as she is diabetic and it’s grade 2 burn in some places it may be deeper also
