There are many medicine brands for treating Hypothyroidism. One such medicine is Thyroxine Sodium (brand name Thyronorm sold by Abbott in India), another is Levothyroxine Sodium (brand name Eltroxin sold by GSK in India). Out of these two medicines which is the better one, as I have heard that long term use of Levothyroxine sodium may lead to slow Heart Rate. Prices of former i. E. Thyronorm is approx. Twice that of Eltroxin. Can you please clarify and enlighten us?
