My mother is 50 years old and was diagnosed with hepatitis e the last year. She was prescribed hepa merz by her doctor. Thankfully her symptoms were relieved. But now again for the past month she is facing severe joint and leg pain. She took hepa merz and it relieved her pain. But today, she is facing severe pain in legs and she took 2 doses of hepa merz today but still facing pain. Please help.

may be her uric acid high or low calcium n vitamin d. check her kft,vitamin d level. dnt do self medication. for more details counslt privately.

Dear lybrate-user, herpa merz is medication for gastro intestinal problems which is not likely to help with pain you will need to take some anti inflammatory for pain pain in the leg could be due to multiple problems. Please consult a doctor in person for the same.
