I am pregnant (28y first pregnancy) ballpark by 4 weeks. I had my hcg levels tested, and the result was 317. The doctor asked me to go back in a couple of days to see if the levels have increased because in her opinion she would have liked to see 1,000 in the 4th week. I understand a low hcg level could indicate miscarriage. Is the doctor?s opinion correct? Should I be worried?

Yes. There are various causes for low hcg. So it has to be high if you r pregnant and its normal. Pls get an ultrasound abdomen done also to be sure if a gestational sac could be seen.
