My wife is 5 weeks -6 weeks pregnant. Can she take folic acid and fish oil from now? Or do she need to take it later? Also if she is suffering from thyroid (9.81 micro iu/ml) for thyroid she is taking thyronorm 75 mcg recommended by one doctor is it safe for pregnancy? Awaiting for your reply.

Of course she should start folic acid, which is essential for brain development of the baby. Fish oil should be avoided because it contains vitamin a, which can damage the baby's brain. Thyronorm is absolutely safe in pregnancy. Rather if she does not take thyronorm, baby's intelligence may be hammered.
