What's the normal oral and armpit temperature please clarify and when we say if we have fever in both cases.

Normal oral temperature 98 - 99 degree f. There is diurnal variation of 1.5 degree f, the temperature is lowest in morning and highest in evening 4-6 pm. Armpit temperature is generally 0.5 -1 degree f lower than oral temperature. When oral am temperature of >98.9 degree f or oral pm temperature of >99.9 degree f called fever.
