Hi, doctor has confirmed that my wife has ovulated on 14th day of last pms and it's been 45 days since last period. The urine and beta-hcg levels indicated positive pregnancy. However after going through a ultrasound, the radiologist confirmed there is no evidence of gestational sac visible. He also confirmed that it is also not ectopic. My question is it too early for an ultrasound to detect the sac or is it due to any problem. Hcg level read was 2875 on 38th day after last period. The radiologist has advised for a follow up scan after a week along with beta hcg test again. Please advise if my wife is pregnant or not. Also endometrial thickness showed 13 mm. What is the significance of this? Thank you for your answers.

When serum hcg-beta is positive but sac not seen in sonography then serum hcg-beta needs repeat test exactly after 48 hours. Meet your gynecologist.
