Yes its possible to certain extent. In case of severe recession of gums, shifting back to normal position after scaling is not possible. But you have to keep that triangular area clean by interdental brush.

Hey there, it will heal upto a certain level but if gum recession of higher grade you need to go in for surgery as last resort.
