I have periodontal abscess on left side of my upper tooth perhaps 5th one. Applied metrogyl dg gel and took augmenting cv also for 10 days. But no relief. Please advise. Thanks.

The abscess or the pus in it needs to be drained out, or if there is endo perio lesion, endodontic treatment is advised. Visit a periodontist for expert opinion.

Hi lybrate-user. Periodontal abscess is caused by multiple factors and accumulation of lots of bacteria. Along with medicine deep scaling (cleaning) and curettage is main line of treatment. You should visit the dentist for this and who recommended you augmentin cv for 10 days .don't take antibiotics for such along period. It will create further more issues.
