I am a 21 years female. For the past 2 years after I stopped competitive horse riding my right hip started to lock up. The area where my leg meets my hip sort of locks and I cannot move without extreme pain. I have to apply pressure to the spot it hurts to be able to move my leg. It happens mostly when I get up from sitting, laying down or climbing off my horse. The pain fades after a while. Recently it started in my left hip as well but now the pain is gradual and it throbs, on the outside of my leg to my knee. Feels difficult to move that leg. Can you tell me what's wrong?
