Hi Sir, I had consulted dermatologist for acne and hair fall. He had prescribed me acutret 20 mg and keraglo eva tablets. I have taken this medicine for over a month. My periods were regular earlier. But this time they have been delayed by 10 days already. Can acutret cause delay in periods. Also is this safe while breastfeeding my 1.5 years old baby?

Good evening lybrate-user. I will begin straight with the answer, yes, isotretinoin can cause irregularities in your menstrual cycles. It would be advisable to stop it for the time being. You are also breastfeeding your baby so I would recommend you to stop acutret for now. Also, re consult your dermatologist as well as your gynaecologist. There may be many different reasons for your cycle irregularities including stress, lack of sleep or proper diet in addition to other factors.
