Hello, I have diagnosed with deep neck abscess and pericardial effusion. I got operated twice for abscess (peritonsillar and retropharyngeal) drainage and tonsillectomy on 09/05 and 01/06. And got released on 11/06 from the hospital. There was no pathological or microbiology bacteria found from the abscess culture, biopsy, sputum and bronchoscopy test. My pericardial effusion (got punctured on 15/05 and it didn?t come back after that. During my hospital stay I was given intravenously unasyn for initial 8 days then ampicillin for 5 days (22/05 a 26/05) and then pipercilin/tazobactam for 12 days. Prior to hospital I was given amoxicillin for 5 days which didn?t help. Now I am at home from 11/05 (not in any medication since then) and my surgery wound didn?t heal. In fact slowly the stitches have opened up completely and I need dressing everyday. Need second opinion on my treatment so far and advice for further treatment and healing.

You have a non-healing wound and need to examine you personally and preferably in a hospital with supportive facilities.
