Patient has undergone laparoscopic acute appendectomy but appendix was not visible. Surgeon removed the pus only. Drain pipe is still insertedto observe for any infection. Patient is still admitted. I just want to know the process of acute appendectomy wherein appendix is some where not visible.

Your case is perforated appendix. In this condition appendix not visualised. Drain for 5 to 7 days if no collection then drain out and patient discharged.
