My doctor diagnosed me with androgenic alopecia although no one in my family (either side) has the condition. I've been losing 150-200 hair for the past two months. On asking, he said that this condition would not progress though and that the hair fall would stop within the next 3 weeks. I need a second opinion. Please help, I'm worried.

Lybrate-user. First thing you should know that Androgenetic Alopecia is a progressive & continuous process. Secondly if you don't take treatment it will increase more rapidly. So to slow down the process of thinning and to retain the existing hair you should start treatment as you are just 19. Excessive Hairloss can be controlled within 10-15 days. Further I can advice you if you can send me your scalp pics.
