Dear lybrateuser, - Your total cholesterol is high should be ideally below 200 mg% & Hdl has to be raised above 40 mg% - follow some dietary precautions: -avoid fried, processed & junk foods,also foods containing saturated & trans fats, have more of fibre containing foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains instead of refined ones, legumes, sprouts, peas and carrots - have low fat milk & milk products, healthy fats as in fish, olive, canola & sunflower oil for cooking, avocados, nuts and seeds such as flax & chia - do regular exercise & reduce weight if overweight.
