Hello Dr. I have done a MCU and uroflowmetry test by a Nephrologist advice in uroflowmetry my graph is down means very weak flow and in MCU my reports says "partial narrow seeing in bulbar urethra & post micturition shows significant residual urine. My doctors you have to opt for a surgery means dilatation means stricture but in my USG my reports says that I can't empty the bladder completely after urination which cause polyuria and prostate size is 26 gms in size so my question is I have a urethral stricture? Or enlarged prostate? Because I am just 23 years old young men with no any other disease as I read little bit about both the diseases but symptoms in both diseases are same. I am confused the problem of polyuria weak urine stream partially emptiness of bladder, after urination little drops remain in penis then after 5-10 mins I feels it leak drop by drop and if I drink water before bed then I have to go the washroom at night also. Please tell me urethral stricture? Or it is because of BPH.

Dear lybrate-user, at your age (23 years) BPH does not happen - as it is a problem of elderly and most likely you are having stricture urethra. Please consult an urologist with all reports. (if sricture is of short segment then endoscopic procedure /OIU can be done)
