Greetings Dr. This question is for my daughter in law, 39, 68 kgs. Who slipped on watery floor and fell down with one leg forward and one leg backward and was diagnosed as ACL tear issue. ortho advised surgery but Ayurvedic doctors advised oil massage and some medicines. Pain is under control, able to walk but with care, able to climb stairs once or twice a day slowly. Please Advise for better mobility and trouble free management and life. Thanks.

How is the appetite, bowel motion and sleep of the person? In case of pain in knee joint it is advised to avoid climbing stairs, lifting heavy weights and to maintain less body weight. What Ayurvedic medicines you have taken so far? For pain and decrease in range of movement, take Sahacharadi kasaya tab twice a day before food. Sallaki liniment of Gufic pharmacy for external application on the region of pain. Yoga raja guggul tab twice a day after food. It is advisable to bandage knee joint in the night with cotton soaked in Murivenna. Kindly let me know the progress after two weeks.
