My wife is diagnosed with bells palsy. She has taken 36 tablets of Acyclovir 800 @ 4 tablets per day since tje last 9 days. She was given Neurobion forte twice a day. She is now doing facial exercises at a physiotherapist along with electric current too. Is the treatment sufficient and correct? How long before we see her facial movements getting back to normal? Please advise.

Hot fomentation wd a Infra red lamp or Hot pack can be added on the side of Paralysis. Chewing a Chewing Gum exercise on affected side, & inflating big balloons exercise should be done many times in a day, if not doing presently. Gentle massage can be done on the paralysed side. It takes 15 days to 21 days for full recovery. Wish her early recovery!
