Ulcerative colitis does not have a single diet plan but you take less fiberous diet so your bathroom visits are reduced. You can take eggs cheese and paneer and other milk products if you are not having any milk protein allergy. You avoid fruits and vegetables as they have high fiber content but one or two tomatoes wont hurt you that much. Keep a diary and pen and track what you ate, what caused problem and avoid it as anything can cause flaring of disease depends on individual. Some items are common troublemakers for people with UC, including: alcohol caffeine carbonated drinks dairy products, if you?re lactose intolerant dried beans, peas, and legumes dried fruits foods that have sulfur or sulfate foods high in fiber meat nuts, crunchy nut butters popcorn products that have sorbitol (sugar-free gum and candies) raw fruits and vegetables refined sugar seeds spicy foods
