Ulcerative colitis is a life long condition if u stop medicine on your own without discussing things with doctor then u have high chances of developing colon cancer. In short keep things controlled once a year colonoscopy to see if disease is under control or not and meet your gastro doctor timely. in short u have to take minimum medicine for life long.

Ulcerative Colitis is a Life long Problem as Dr.Nishant Singh Replied from Allopathic point of view. But from Holistic Point of View it can be treated successfully with Homeopathic Medicine and Pawan Yoga. Kidly watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQ2JNumdcgM
You need annual endoscopy check up.
CONTINUE WITH MESACOL DAILY AND ANNUAL COLONOSCOPY
