Both tamsulosin (Urimax) and finasteride (sold under the trade name of Fincar) are individually used for relief of symptoms of benign enlargement of prostate. They can be used concurrently in the form of Urimax-F. However, both reduce blood pressure also Urimax D Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Tamsulosin and Dutasteride which relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Tamsulosin is an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor which helps in shrinking the prostate by decreasing the level of a hormone that causes the prostate to grow. Urimax 0.4 mg Capsule MR is an alpha blocker. It works by relaxing muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily.
