Lateral sphincterotomy was done 2 years ago for anal fissure. Then it was ok but few days ago I went GOA sea beach where I get hard stool and get anal fissure. But doctor told that after surgery for occasional hard stool anal fissure will not come back again as the tensile of the skin near anus has been increased. So why for only one time hard stool after 2 years leads to anal fissure? I came to know that it has no more surgical treatment as anal dilation was prohibited by international guidelines. It means I have to carry the anal fissure whole life till death?
