As the doctor said to give ipill or unwanted 72 but I've heard they have a lot of side effects and it was our 1st time so are they safe and how much pills should I give her and what should I do if there will be a side effect?

Yes they have side effects.. and you should use condoms untill you want pregnancy... In case needed one tablet is enough..
