Hello, My daughter is 18 months old. She is teething and also having loose stools from last one month. Tried medicines, enterogermina and cefixime. Nothing worked. She would eat and has a loose stools. From last 4-5 days not eating correctly and even having watery stools which are even absorbed in diaper. She is having 4-5 such stools in a day. Tell me what to do.

First of all the most important question is that have you taken the expert medical advice before giving your child dose medicines and secondly it is very common for children to develop gastric disturbance while eruption of primary teeth .it is a self limiting condition and becomes completely ok within 1 to 2 weeks. .you should never give medicine without the prescription of registered medical practitioner. The best thing you can do is to see a pediatrician who specialises in treatment of children to rule out any other cause of diarrhoea.
