Following is the report of my Mother's MRI of brain. Please suggest what exactly the problem is. MRI BRAIN PROTOCOLS: Axial T1WSE, TSE-T2W and FLAIR pulse sequences. Sagittal TSE- T2W pulse sequence. DWI is also performed. OBSERVATIONS: Subcortical and periventricular white matter hyperintensities are noted on T2W & FLAIR images. Ventricular system, cisterns, sulci and subarachnoid spaces are normal. Posterior fossa structures appear normal. seller and parasellar regions are unremarkable. No evidence of any focus of restricted diffusion to suggest acute infarct. No evidence of any extraaxial collection / mass lesion or midline shift. Normal major intracranial flow voids visualised. Note is made of pansinusitis / mastoiditis. IMPRESSION: Few subcortical and periventricular white matter hyperintensities likely to be non-specific / UBOs.
