My father is almost 56 years old now. Few years back, suddenly within an year his weight reduced from 63 to 57 kgs and he began to feel lethargic. After lab diagnosis, Diabetes (high blood sugar level) was detected. He took proper medication for it and now his blood sugar level went back to normal, but his lethargy didn't reduced at all. Moreover he is now suffering from few additional symptoms such as Joint Pain, Itching sensations all over the body. We went to NEIGRHIMS for further treatment where after lab diagnosis Hypothyroidism was detected. But doctor advised that it's not a matter of worry at all and didn't prescribed any medication. So, is Hypothyroidism completely harmless as told by the doctor or not?
