I am a type-2 diabetic 45 years, on medicine since last 10 years, the basic medicine is metformin 500 twice daily. Last year I suffered major weight loss to tune of 10 kg, which when stopped metformin and switched to glimepiride 1 mg twice daily regained to normal wt. (70 kg-5'10" Height). My sugar levels are out of control. The fasting levels are 130-170, and post meal (after 3 hours) counts to 180-250 levels, with the following medications: glimepiride 2 mg + metformin 500 in morning and metformin 500 at Night. I often suffer from diaoherrea. (And we think the continued usage of metformin may be the cause, as when we switched to glimepiride completely without metformin the diaoherrea was controlled.) I go with diabetic diet and regular walk. My recent HB1Ac levels are 7.4% (Test dt: 24.04.18) Please guide me.
