Hi, Often she gets itching in her foot or hand & the spot gets reddish. Subsequently that particular leg or hand pains severely with lot of swelling. It becomes difficult to put her foot on the floor. This situation is prevailing for last 3 years or so. Treatment suggested by skin specialist/dermatologist is anti allergic, pain killer, moisturiser & anti oxidants. The interval between recurrent situation ranges from 1 to 6 months. She had suffered from breast cancer in 2000 & after chemotherapy, surgery/removal of breast ,she was on nolvadex harmon?s therapy for 5 years. Meanwhile nearly 1 or 1.5 year of surgery, she developed thyroid problem & presently on 100 mcg thyronorm & T3, T4,Tsh are in tolerable limits. She is having regular yearly checkup for cancer at cancer hospital, Delhi including required investigations where she was treated for breast cancer & there is no evidence of disease. Please suggest cause & treatment for this intermittent itching/swelling& paining.
