I am suffering from irregular periods (been on periods from 29th march till 2nd of May) and recent ultrasound resulted in PCOD. My gyno suggested me contraceptive pills. I took one pill and my periods stopped on 3rd May. I am worried if continuous taking of pills would affect my body and health in long run. My gyno has suggested me a 3 month's course of these pills. Plus, I am a married woman. Please suggest if it is the correct way to deal with the problem.
