Hello Doctor, Age:34 years, ML: 10 years, Primary Infertility, 3 failed IUI cycles and 3 failed IVF cycles. Regular Periods and no symptoms of Fibroid. Fibroid diagnosed in the past but a small one. It has grown rapidly for the past two years. My recent MRI Pelvis shows Uterus is dextropositioned rotated 90 counterclock wise ,bulky with contoural distortion secondary to intramural myoma. Intramural Fibroid :Left Posterior wall above isthmus 6.4 cms x 5.7 x 5.1 cms across, T2 hypointense, Bilobed,Peripheral capsular flow present. Consulted few doctors regarding fibroid. Two doctors advised open myomectomy and one advised Lap Myomectomy. But another doctor is not advising surgery now. I would like to know the risks of removing fibroid and also not removing fibroid with respect to my fertility issue. And also if surgery is inevitable, which is better either Open Myomectomy or Lap.
