Please suggest this question is for my 80 years old mom who lives in kolkata with my brother. Reports are normal. Both kidney are normal. One nerve of Right leg is blocked one month ago that is why swollen right leg and stopped walking few month ago during winter and her confidence have gone down. She have stop walking and evethung us dine on bed. Please advice as I want to see her waking a least slowly. Thanks.

In the right lower limb, is the block in the Vein or the Arteries. A Venous and Arterial Doppler test will show where is the problem. If the block is in the veins, she would have to be admitted under a vascular surgeon, and IV medications given to remove the deep vein thrombosis. This will remove the swelling in the leg. If the block is in the arteries, a peripheral angiogram and an angioplasty will have to be done to open up the blocks and relieve the pain. Please consult a vascular surgeon.
