Sir, both of us hus-43 n wife-38 are on ART for more than a year and CD4 is 550 for both now. What tests to undergo before normal planning? Also as there is 5% chance for transmission to baby, can we try surrogacy ?if yes then the exact cost involved. Can my sperm after washing and my wifes egg be used for surrogacy. Any centre actually doing this.

It?s better that you both try for your own child and we can give medication to your wife during pregnancy so that the virus does not travel to the foetus

As I gather you would like to try normally. Please check your wife s ovarian reserve by doing a blood test for AMH as it might be on the lower side reducing chances of a successful normal conception. Now coming to the ART medication, with low CD4 count less than 1000 the risk of transmission is less than 2 % provided you continue ART meds and deliver by CS prior to waters breaking. So you should be able to carry your own baby.
