I am going through a root canal treatment since 5 visits to my dentist, we are at the last stage to fill cavity and canal but I am feeling pain or ache in my tooth. Dentist told he could not fill the cavity unless there is no pain. What could be the reason behind the pain.

Dear Lybrate user, may be still bmp is incomplete when or root apex can be open. When bmp will be completed your pain will be stop. So don't worry. Please have pasence and suppoert your dentist. In RCT number of visits are not fixed for every patient. Visits can vary. Don't worry you will be fine soon.

Usually some pain persists after few days also after RCT, so donot worry and wait for some more days.
