2 to 2.5 mm is the thickness of enamel..no teeth should not become sensitive at that level ...apply sensitivity paste two to three times daily for 15 days on the affected portion ..the symptoms suffering will subside ...

hi Ashish, reducing 0.5 mm on your teeth is not going to harm you in any way. tooth has natural reparative capacity to some extent. so trimming of 0.5mm may give you feel of sensitivity but over the time period it will resolve on its own. for safety propose you can use floride mouthwash for two months. cheers
