Sir, in case of two front protruding teeth, will crowns be effective or the braces?
Ask Free Question
Hello Lybrate user, for protruding teeth, crown is not a right treatment. Nowhere in any textbook of dentistry it's written that crown can be used instead of braces. If any doctor does this this is a wrong treatment. Also it wouldn't give you the desired result. You will end up losing significant structure of your teeth and have undergo root canal treatment. Look there are many treatment options for protruded teeth, like clear aligners, ceramic braces, lingual braces which are less visible and gives you the desired result. Just by undergoing this treatment for a year you will have a good smile for your whole life. So do not look for any alternate method. Find a orthodontist (specialist for cases like yours) and give him a visit. Hope this helps.
