My son is 11 years old and has habit of watching cartoon network by continuously putting fingers in mouth and moving with talking to self and laughing alone. Otherwise he is very normal and good in studies too. Also while not watching TV also he is talking to self and putting fingers in mouth. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

If this is happening always and the child refuse to interact with others and remains secluded then you should check about his daily habits including eating, sleeping etc. The child should be encouraged in more outdoor activities with support of family. Usually working parents cause attention deficit problems. They should be paid more attention and involved in play group activities with children of same age group and school activities encouraged. If the problem intensifies and cause interruption in daily activities they should advised for psychologist consultation.
