Der Dileep, Sorry to hear your father, Maths teacher, has dementia. The behavioral problems are not tolerated by the family members. If you start attending the family members' group, you will understand why your father gets angry and leaves home. If the family understands his present level of memory and accepts it as such, behaviour of your father will change. If you people point out accusingly or treat him as though he does it purposely, it will worsen. Donepezil is helpful in reducing behavioural problems. None of the antipsychotics are approved in dementia because it can cause falls and medical problems become worse. You have to decide which is worse and use Quetiapine whenever necessary.
