From past few days My left testicle became hard associated with pain in spermatic cord. Due to lack of proper specialist in my work place, and upon the recommendation of a RMP I took ultrasound which revealed that there is no tumour. Spermatic cord got swollen and so is epididymis. He prescribed me cefixime 400 mg for 1 week. I took two of them and symptoms were almost relieved except mild pain. When I searched online it was written cefixime is no longer recommended and if it is used it should be used with some other anti biotic like azytromicin or Doxycycline. I don't know whether to continue the course or not. Please advise.
