hello lybrate user, kidney stones often have reoccurring tendency, even after surgically removed. drink plenty of water, 8-9 glass per day. (hydrotherapy is helpful to flush out kidney stones). avoid calcium oxalate rich food like peanuts, almond, spinach, tomato, egg etc; reduce animal protein intake like chicken, fish etc; reduce salt intake. add more fruits in diet. take homeopathic treatment for kidney stones (renal calculi).it's safe, natural and holistic way of treatment. natural homeopathic medicines like lyc, etc are highly effective in complaints like kidney stones. In chronic cases, medicine is selected on the basis of thorough details of patient like medical history, other complaints, causes, routine, temperament etc..; such well selected remedy gives complete cure and stops the reoccurring tendency of kidney stones formation. message back for proper homeopathic consultation.

Treatment for kidney stone depends on where the stone is, its size and whether it is causing obstruction. So all this is required before commenting further. For foot pain see a physiotherapist.

He has a kidney stones problem from last three years. Please give him a proper solution prescription. Thanking you.

He has a kidney stones problem from last three years. Please give him a proper solution prescription. Thanking you.
According to Ayurveda, improper diet and lifestyle leads to aggravation of all three doshas (Ayurvedic humors) and impairment of the digestive fire, causing formation of toxins (ama) in the body. These toxins travel down the channels carrying urine, where aggravated doshas combine with it, causing its crystallization and leading to the formation of kidney stones. Tips for removing kidney stones:: 1. Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, cold drinks, pickles, fish, poultry, meat, spinach, and chocolate. 2. Avoid sour, heavy, and dry food. 3. Increase intake of liquids like water, juice, soup, lime water lemon soda etc. 4. Be sure to drink enough water each day. Usually 1 to 2 liters of water per day is adequate. 5. Drink more if you are perspiring heavily, working outdoors, the weather is hot, etc. 6. Increase the use of barley, horse gram (a type of bean), ginger, and brown rice or parboiled rice. 7. Avoid suppressing urges to urinate and defecate. 9. Boil 10-12 basil leaves in 1 cup of water for 15 minutes. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey in it and take twice a day. Pls send ur USG report coz herbal medicines for removing stones can be given according to size and number and location of stones.

What Makes One Lose Control of the Urinary Bladder?

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, DNB (Urology)
Urologist, Ghaziabad
What Makes One Lose Control of the Urinary Bladder?

What you should know about urinary incontinence.

Urinary incontinence is the inability to hold urine in the bladder because of loss of control of the bladder. The severity may range from temporary to chronic, depending on the cause of this disease. Urinary incontinence is more common in women than men and can be categorized into three types.

Types and symptoms of urinary incontinence

Stress incontinence: this incontinence may occur while participating in any physical activity such as a sudden cough, laugh, sneezing or exercising. The stress here refers to the sudden physical pressure that a person experiences, leading him/her to urinate involuntarily.

Urge incontinence: a sudden, involuntary contraction of the muscular wall of the bladder causes an urgency to urinate. This urgency can be formed by a sudden change in position or sex.

Overflow incontinence: this is more common in men with prostate gland problems, damaged bladder or blocked urethra. The person has an urge to urinate frequently but in small amounts.

Causes of urinary incontinence

There are a number of causes of urinary incontinence ranging from aging to cancer and physical damage to the neurological disorder.

1. Aging: with age, the bladder muscle weakens and the chances of incontinence increases.

Damage: since the pelvic muscles support the bladder any damage to it (surgery or any procedure to remove the uterus) can lead to urinary incontinence.

2. Enlarged prostate: enlargement of the prostate gland in older men may give rise to this condition.

Cancer: urinary incontinence may be associated with untreated prostate cancer, which is a side effect of treatments for it.

3. Menopause: estrogen is a hormone that keeps the lining of bladder and urethra healthy. After menopause the production of estrogen is decreased, increasing the chances of urinary incontinence.

4. Prevention: urinary incontinence is not preventable but some steps can be taken to reduce the risk of it. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, avoiding smoking, practicing pelvic floor exercises, avoiding caffeine and acidic foods and eating more fiber to prevent constipation can help decreasing the risk of it.
