Hye. Thanks for the query. Maintaining body weight is not a one time effort that you try, succeed or fail or drop the actions that take you there. You are what you eat. Your weight is nothing but a balance of how much you eat and how much you burn or exercise. Understanding this art of balance will make it easy to maintain your body weight. Walking, swimming, strength training as well as eating are all calorie burning processes. Along with this if you eat sensibly; then you will see the scales move. There is no short cut to losing weight. You have to eat the right foods at the right time. Eat small but frequent meals.     Reduce your main meals by a small amount. Take a glass of lime water 10minutes before meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed.                        Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing.     It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called fad, crash diets, medicines, pills or supplements will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, lose that fat not muscle mass.

Hi, I am diagnosed with SLE and been on treatment for 3 years now. I have been taking prednisolone, methotrexate, hydroxychloroquine, milzacipram etc for quite a long time. Because of these medicines I have put on tremendous amount of weight. Though I try to moderate my diet, cut down on salt and sugar, workout as much as I can in spite of pain, nothing seem to change. Semi brown rice is good for health. Weight loss does not depend on Rice..>> Add more Fruits /Salads/Proteins to your diet. Double your water intake. One glass every hour..>> Cut down Sweets/Biscuits/ Colas/Juices from your diet. .>> Cut down Puris/Parathas/Pizzas/Burgers/Fried Rice..>> Eat slowly and mindfully.   Reduce portion size..>> Exercise daily - 'Intense' Cardio for 40-60 mins.  This will keep you toned and trim..>> Reduce outside food. I will suggest you to do suryanamaskar daily as per your capacity for a minimum of six months and for loosing weight few tips on diet say no to maida items like toast , khaari ,naan ,white bread . can drink tea but without sugar say no to Buffalo milk and can drink cows milk can eat brown bread can eat sprout's can eat green vegetables, can eat chappati ,bajra ka rotla can eat one katori of rice twice a day with dal to avoid farsan food items can eat fruits say no to coconut water

1.You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2.You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3.Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4.Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5.Adhere to a specific sleep time and regular schedule 6.Take light dinner. 7.Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. Have a glass of warm milk at bed time .8. Don’t go to sleep immediately after dinner. Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 9. Avoid late night. 10. Don’t sleep in day time 11. Don’t take sleeping pill 12. If no relief consult doctor.

Kindly take, Sthaulyahara kshayam, 20 ml, in warm water, twice a day. Take Triphala, 1 tsf, in hot water, at bed time, regularly. Cut down sugar, salt, fast food in your diet. Reduce curds, milk products in your diet. Stop eating after, 7 pm. And if possible kindly do panchakarma treatment from a competent Ayurvedic physician. Good luck.

You are having 10 Kg extra weight.Your ideal average weight should be 66-69 Kg.The ssecret of losing weight lies inside your mind and strong headed people can only loose weight.So be true to yourself and pledge from today onwardss that you will seriouly implement the below given step in your life style. Hb -7 means you are severely anaemic. You are losing your blood or the production of blood is less. Or both. Its a serious condition. Need to be evaluated. Besides a good diet if fruits and green vegetables you will need iron and vitamins supplements but don't ignore it. Go to your nearest medical college.

U are doing very wrong by skipping your chapatti intake. You will never reduce weight like this. You need to take a proper balanced diet for weight loss. Every meal is very important. Pls do not pick up weights in the gym. Just go for cardio and stretching. You do not hve to take only fruits and vegetables for reducing weight. 1) start your day with a fruit 2) take frequent small meals 3) do not skip any meals 4) take your dinner by 7: 30 p. M 5) avoid carbohydrates 2 times a week for dinner. Just go for proteins 2 times a week for dinner.

To maintain a low body fat and/or lower body fat: 1. Exercise at least 5 times per week 2. Eat whole/unprocessed foods at regular intervals, while being aware of physical hunger/fullness cues 3. Sleep 7-9 hours per night 4. Don’t engage in extreme diets 5. Stay consistent with your habits 6. Incorporate non-exercise physical activity 7. Ignore food advertising You need a fat loss diet which comprises of whole grains like jowar, bajra, wheat, brown rice, pulses like moong, musoor, bengal gram, lots of vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish, chicken, paneer, healthy oil, nuts and seeds. You need to eat them in right proportion. Avoid eating sugar and sweets, refined foods like maida, noodles pasta, White rice and products, bread. Drink a lot of water.

Resently I undergone a surgery of vericose veins of my left leg. Since then I won't take rice, potatos & sweets. Now my weight comes to 72kg from 77kg.I am a diabetic one having a normal blood sugar level of 148 0n pp & 97 on fasting. I am aged 59 years. Please advice accordingly.

Firstly, when did u undergo varicose veins surgery? Since walking or exercising is not contraindications so walking or any type of exercise will not only help to reduce weight but also give a better diabetic control. Furthermore, you have to continue dietary restriction of sweets and carbs.
