I have seen the details mentioned. It is surprising to know that if fbg & pp 100 mg & 110 mg, still the hba1c% is as high as 8.28 to 838 % because if hba1c% is 8,28 % then average blood glucose is 191 mg & if it is 8.38% then average is 194 mg. At 65 yrs, hba1c is fine, but I would recommend to bring to 7, you can start with sitagliptin 100 mg once a day, and continue metformin and voglibose. Take vitamin d3 and vitamin b12 supplements, testerone levels decreases with age, tester one caps can be taken, but under guidance of urologist or sexologist.

The delayed version releases the drug more slowly and this usually eliminates the gastrointestinal problems.

Ir is immediate release and sr is sustained release formulations. Both work well but usually sr formulations have lesser gastrointestinal side effects.
