Thanks for the query.
When diabetes goes on for some years even when it is well controlled there is possibility of developing neuropathy. The symptoms tend to increase if the control is not ood. Looking at your treatment already there are plenty of drugs. Still control is not as desired. Ideally fasting should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg and HbA1c% <6.8. Therefore, there is a need to give a closer look at your diet, and exercise first. Then if need be we may have to consider adding or chan...more

Mr. lybrate-user, Your blood glucose levels show that diabetes is not in good control Even HbA1c% should be <6.8. One of the main reason appears to be obesity. If you make serious efforts to cut your weight by about 8 %, you will be able to achieve excellent blood glucose control. We will have to look at your diet and exercise pattern. If you are keen to reduce weight, then I can help. Thanks.

Hello,
I have seen the details, from that it is clear that your glucose levels are fairly well maintained. Only pp can be brought down by about 20 mg to 160 mg. Hba1c% should be < 6.8. That can be achieved by adjusting the diet and increasing the extent of daily exercise. Increasing the intake of green leafy vegetables and salads will help. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the query.v
To feel energetic and fresh it is necessary to achieve a strict glucose control, with fasting. < 100 mg, PP150 to 170 mg &:HbA1c % < 6.8. It appears that present. treatment is not really helpful, needs to be upgraded. Plus there's a need to look at dietary intake and extent of daily exercise. So it is better if you come in a private conversation with above mentioned details, plus lipid profile & BP readings. Then I will be able to guide specifically and prescri...more

For diabetes follow a diet low in carbohydrate, low in salt, low in fat and high in fibre. Avoid bakery products. Avoid too much rice and potato. Avoid fried stuff. Avoid chocolate, cakes, ice cream, soft drinks and fruit juices. Eat lots of vegetables. Walk for at least 30 minutes a day for 5 days in a week. Medicine and insulin will work better if you follow diet and exercise.
