Visken 10Mg Tablet belongs to the type of medicines known as beta-blockers. The drug helps to bring down high blood pressure, regularise heart rate, and reduces the strain on the heart. The drug interferes with actions of the naturally occurring chemicals like epinephrine or adrenaline. The dosage is administered according to your health condition and response to the medication. It may be taken orally with or without food, as directed by the doctor. This medicine needs to be taken regularly and in the right doses to obtain maximum benefit from it. It takes almost a fortnight for the medicine to begin its action and start showing improvements. The medicine may be used in combination with other drugs as prescribed by the doctor.

The drug may cause your blood sugar level to drop that eventually worsens your condition if you are a diabetic patient. It may also increase the frequency of urination, make you feel thirsty or dehydrated. Visken 10Mg Tablet is not recommended to breastfeeding mothers because the drug is excreted in human milk that passes onto the infant causing severe health complications. The medicine may increase dizziness and light-headedness. It is advisable to stay off alcohol, caffeine, smoking and tobacco during the course of the treatment.
