It is better to avoid artificial sweatners because they increase craving for sugar and reports published about them are not encouraging.
I think forxiga 10 alone will not be helpful in your case but will help if you add it to present medicines. Keep in mind cost factor also because you have to take it continuously for long time, though it will be helpful in weight reduction.

From the info provided, you seem to be having early onset type 2 diabetes. Continue as per your doctor's advice. Sorry, your aunt is wrong. These medicines, if taken at the right dose & with regular monitoring, will not damage your kidneys.

gliclazide can be taken twice but only after the advice of your doctor as per need.

Mr. lybrate-user, 340 mg of blood glucose is very high level and it is dangerous too. If not well treated can lead to severe complications of diabetes. Tablet Jalra (Vildagliptin 50 mg) is a good drug used to treat diabetes Type 2. Normally it is very well tolerated.
