Please consult a neurologist. asertain that drugs are taken in adequate dose regularly. 11 year boy may be forgeting or delaberately not taking drugs.so occational seizure. if not then another drug like lamotrigine can also be added.

Patient on chronic antiepileptic therapy tend to develop vit deficiency manifestations. Usually oral lesion can be due to plethora of reasons and maybe completely unrelated to antiepileptic therapy as such. Cont medicine as has been advised do
1.no alcohol
3. No smoking
4. Diet - no ghee/ butter, have mix of vegetable oils - mustard, til, ground nut, olive oil, have more green vegetables and fruits, have whole grain atta, no fried. Fast. Spicy / processed/ junk food. Less sugar, potato, rice
5. 30 mts brisk walk daily first thing in the morning 6. Deep breathing exercise for 10 mts daily
7. Meditation daily for 10 mts. 6-8 hrs of sleep at night

Since you are already on medication I suggest you talk to your treating Psychiatrist and convey your current symptoms to them. It is possible that some changes in medication dosages will help improve the symptoms. As they are familiar with your history it is always better to have a discussion with them regarding this situation.

Hypothyroidism and siezures (probably epilepsy) are tow totally different conditions. Both need to be treated with specific drugs. Treatment for seizures is invariably goes on for many years. As regards hypothyroidism, once it is diagnosed, the condition remains for lifetime. Therefore, treatment has to be continued for the whole life. There are many types of Idiopathic epilepsies. Some of them may require life long treatment so decision can not be made based on EEG or qny one test. One need to understand what epilepsy syndrome your child has and then make a decision.
