First medication are inadequate fasting should be 100-110
and post meal should be 150 around. Low blood sugar happens when you l
keep gaps in between meals
or skip meal so first take adequate medication.
You can reach to us by chat and audio also.
Get years blood test done. Because diabetis is not only blood sugar correction we need to see all parameters like blood pressure, cholesterol ,kidney function to prevent the effect of diabetis on organs of body.

No, you should not have done that. Only if you feel symptoms of low sugars (tremors, uneasiness, sweating, hunger) then you should have some sugar.
If you have a glucometer, check sugar levels before having sugar, to avoid unnecessarily high sugars.
For the first instance, it's ok. Nothing to worry about.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. There is no mention of fasting, pp glucose values, hba1c%, present dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, weight and height, plus bp readings and lipid profile. To give any kind of suggestion or advise I need to know all the above details.
When diabetes is well controlled fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, pp 160 to 170 mg & hba1c% < 6.8. Thanks.

Treatment for type 2 diabetes includes monitoring your blood sugar levels and using medications or insulin when needed. Doctors also recommend losing weight through diet and exercise. ... If you start eating healthier, get more exercise, and lose weight, you can reduce your symptoms.

It is better you get a test called as Hba1c done. It will give an idea of the average sugar level in your body over past 3 months. It will help to decide whether you need a dose increment/change of medicines.

Get your c-peptide test done after 8 hour fasting. C-peptode is a amino acid complex released when a molecule of proinsilin breaks down to insulin hence it is an indirect measurement of insilin. Normalrange is 0.5-2 ng/ml of blood. If your c-peptide is less than normal means insulin is less and indicates type 1 diabetes, if more than more insulin is produced as in type 2 diabetes.
