lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
The blood glucose level mentioned (140 mg) whether it is fasting or PP is not clear. What is the HbA1c%? That will give an idea of long term control. The drugs being taken do not cause sweating. It is because of you being overweight with a BMI of 28.9 kgs (normal <23 kgs/M2) almost close to grade 1 obesity. Your ideal weight should be 54 kgs, which means you carry 20 kgs extra. That is the reason for sweating. You should seriously consider reducing the wei...more

Pioz mfg2 is radially available in India. Your sugar levels are bit high. Januvia is costly drug, you can switch to Tenligliptin of same class which is cheap. As far as Pioz is concerned, you shd rather change it as your weight is high. So bmi. Drawback of Pioz is weight gain. Kindly get your HbA1C done. Feel free to discuss with me.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
HbA1c% 5.9 is good. But equally important is to know fasting & Pp glucose levels, plus diet pattern and extent of daily exercise. Since you have very good control, there is no reason to reduce the dosage. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Usually in diabetes a dictum is followed that is" No fasting and No Feasting" Because both are not helpful in maintaining proper glucose levels.
However, if you are fasting and that means there absolutely no food intake, then it is better to avoid the dugs on that day. If you are eating some other alternate foods, then there is need to take the drugs. Thanks.
