Sevista 10 mg tablet contains 'ormeloxifene' which is a non-steroidal and non-hormonal oral contraceptive. It is generally taken once a week. It is also used to treat uterine bleeding in women who have not attained menopause yet. It works by preventing the implantation of an egg on the wall of the uterus.
So no chance of getting pregnancy at all.

Hi lybrate-user. Please confirm if you are having endometriosis in addition to adenomyosis. Adenomyosis is generally pain free. If you are suffering a lot final option will be laparoscopic hysterectomy with preservation of your ovaries if you have completed your family. You can take second opinion from another gynaecologist regarding the same.

Hello.
Sevista contains ormeloxifene which in majority of women causes amenorrhea.
However it is very in treatment of mastalgia.
Please do not worry. Amenorrhea following sevista is variable, however in majority of women, it returns in 4 to 6 weeks following stopping the drug.
You just need to wait and watch, your period will return.

The first pill should be taken on the first day of the period and the second pill three days later. Follow this for the first three months. Starting from the fourth month, take it once a week on the first pill day.
I assume you have been examined by Gynecologist who has advised you this. As any drug always should be taken on advise of some doctor who has examined you

Hello.
Sevista (60) is usually used in a dosage of 60 mg twice a week for 3 months followed by once o week for 3 months.
With continuous long term use in high dose (60) there is slight risk of cystic ovary, decreased libido and hot flushes.
After 6 months it is better to have a blood for lft done followed by a gap of 3 to 4 months and than can be used again.
