This medication acts by stimulating certain humoral antibodies against anti-HBs antibodies. It is supposed and recognized that anti-HB titre more than 10IU/l coordinate with safeguarding against hepatitis B virus infection. After vaccination, most children and adults (healthy) develop anti-HBs titres.
