Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. As regards your blood glucose control, it is excellent. In such a situation I do not see the need for any additional medication like pioglitazone half tablet twice a day. As regards bp and changing to benidipine it may be in your doctors judgment that drug could be more suitable to you. I really have no say on that. However, I do not see any reason for adding pioglitazone with metformin when you have such a good control. Thanks.

Stop taking Losartan and change to a safer drug by consulting your doctor. muscle cramps may be because of dehydration. So drink plenty of water and salts like common salt. Losartan has side effects on cardio vascular system. So changing the drug is more prudent.

Yes. Losartan can cause dey cough similar to ace inhibitors. This cough is more likely to occur in patients who had cough with ace inhibitor. For any advice to change medicine, full record needs review.

Coversyl Plus HD Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Perindopril and indapamide which lower blood pressure effectively. Perindopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It works by reducing stress on the heart and relaxing blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently. Indapamide is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow. We ca...more
